DmC Devil May Cry: Forecast Lowered To 1.2 Million

It was previously 2 million but this has been lowered.

Also contrary to what some thought this 2 million total was for this March not March 2014.

I really hope this doesn't hurt the potential for a sequel. It'll be sad if NT is denied again...

its sad really, if people would just look past the blind hatred and engoy the game, a sequal and even a dmc5 would be a shoe in, but no people would rather sit back and whine and complain. Ive read alot of it too most of them sound like they havent even so much as touched the demo, i just hope Devil may cry as a series dosent just go away like dino crisis did. it would be a shame. Atleast i know i engoy the game i have almost 70 hours put in cant wait for the dlc

what do you expect after insulting the old fans and changing everything what a well known series was.
its no wonder and capcom need to get their act together and find suitable devs for their next DMC. if it was a new ip it might have succeded more but
not as DMC game. when you neglect your fans and dont listen to their suggetions, this is gonna happen.

If this had been the exact same game, but with the name changed, DMC fans would be freaking out calling it a DMC rip off. The **** storm that would ensue from calling this game anything but DMC would be worse than calling it DMC. And for the love of God stop calling NT an "unsuitable" developer. You know who co-designed and signed off on the combat for this game? Capcom Japan. The same people who have been designing combat for DMC since 2.

Have you people heard of "operation crazy"? So it seems a lot of people bought the HD collection instead of the new game in a way to send a message. This is bad. First was all that rage about the hair, death threats, then that petition for Obama to pull the game, and now this? well sheeeeeeeet....

I have this one guy on youtube thats commenting everywhere saying how the game is bad and he doesn't like it. Its totally fine if people don't like that game, and there are some reasons to, but this obsession over the game is just sick.

The other day i was gonna buy the HD collection because i love DMC1 so much...but i didn't, because i saw this...i'd rather buy another copy of DmC. Is the gaming comunity going full retard or what? I see everyone complaining about COD not changing but maybe there's a reason for that. People just want the same thing over and over and over again. DmC has its fair amount of problems, but so does any other game in the series. A series that consists in 2 great games and other 2 other that are not so great.

This is why i'm see myself stop playing games in a few years. Because creativity and different ideas don't really sell, and more and more games are turning "mainstream". Resident Evil 6 director said the game needed cover based shooting full of action to sell in the west <--------------- Does this make any sense to you?? It might as well be a military 1st person shooter next time.

Capcom, or NT, if you are reading this: Kill Devil May Cry. Make something else. Thats what these kids deserve. I would applaud that

listen guys, I bought on steam DmC Devil May Cry because I am a Capcom Loyalist (not fanboy) but lets face it lets call a cat a cat... . Ninja theory was a excellent move for the storyline, but it ends there... . All the rest must be done by Capcom Japan Internally, and yeah that means also white hair... . second thing is that Capcom make good "western games" IF THEY ARE MADE IN JAPAN NOT IN THE WEST ITSELF. I am waiting from now for Devil May Cry 5 or DmC Devil May Cry 2. Capcom you know your job.

It would make me sick if Capcom decide that, because if they did, they'd be caving to all these years of hate and childish behaviour from certain 'fans' as if DmC were all for nothing. And what kind of example would that set anyway? "If you scream loud enough and spread lies you can get what you want?" I'd never make games for people like that. The amount of hate I've had put on me just for being a fan is ridiculous.

Seeing that just proves how twisted it all is. They're a bunch of DMC extremists, they're not fans at all.

I agree, but unfortunately, Mass Effect morons already made this a reality. They complained about the ending enough to where Bioware is now asking fans straight up what to do with the sequel. It just shows that gamers can whine enough to get what they want. I'm really considering buying a steam copy of this game and give it to a friend.

All this time with DmC, ever since the reveal, has just soured my opinion of the franchise and specially the fanbase, and honestly it kinda sickens me to a part of this. I know there are SOME people who have legitimate reasons to deslike the game and they are not being A-holes about it. But MOST of these so called fans are acting like kids.

As i said in some other thread, i think that, indeed, the game should have been called something else. Like a spiritual sucessor to Devil May Cry... So that NT and capcom could make whatever they wanted. This hatred hurted the game more than people think

see, here's the funny thing: as long as these idiots are buying ANY Capcom game, Capcom is not going to hear the message they think they're sending. At all. This is like when Sonic fanboys tried to boycott the fourth game by buying the first. Capcom is still getting money, and they won't know why. It's just gonna be used to fund whatever they think of next, which is 99% likely to not be whatever the "fans" intended to be funded, probably a re-release of the same game with minimal half-assed tweaks, because Capcom clearly sees that crappy "spruced up" editions of old games are selling more than new things, so they won't try new titles at all. This is what makes them justify doing silly things like Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, or constant Street Fighter 4s.
