I'm pretty sure that was made only for demo purposes and not the final health icon and Ranking icon. It'll probably be a lot more better looking, colorful, and smaller when the game is released.

In response to Shatterstar's point i think the point of the health bar and the ranking information is to be discreet. if they make it too colorful it would distract from the environmental aesthetic. imo the HUD is fine, if they make it too colorful it could detract from the gameplay. i find it strange that Dante has a picture next to his health bar. why not simply have a health bar like any other game?
my thoughts are that there could be another playable character. however that is just speculation.
as some people have said already the DT mode. nothing so far. i feel like this is a good thing. i really wasnt that fond of the DT mode from previous trailers. i'm glad they've focused on the details in terms of animation. apparently all the combat animation is animated by hand. at the same time i hope the DT mode is a better palette swap. if thats indeed what their going for...
Another thing that worries me is the auto-lock feature.
This is something that WILL affect the final product because if I want to attack a certain monster then the auto-lock feature may make me attack something I dont want too. Now I haven't played the game no but as a long time DMC fan I think its something that should be in the options menu, to let you either use it or not use it. So both the newcomers and old DMC fans can have something to balance on.
I only say this gain because in some of the gameplay videos the player was trying to aim for a group of enemies while using rake but missed twice times because the auto aim had him aiming at the set enemies in front of him.
This is something I feel that WILL affect this game in a negative manner. I hope you would read this and at least take this into consideration and make note of this because in alot of the videos because of a lack of a lock on feature it makes it easy to mess up in combos.
Also can a mod confirm if the game will have more difficulty features because apparently one of the complaints -that the game tester SHOULD have made is- that the game is too easy. These are just observations Ive made while browsing many of the DmC related videos, and the 4chan post that proves accurate that none of you have tried to talk to us about when tameem did say this is the period where they are listening to us.
I say again please pay attention to what I have said because I want this game to be good, and bring back alot of those who hate it for what it is, and you'll should be listening to us because we all want your game to be good and for some be a day one buy. Because as this game stands now it will have decent to low sales due to alot of the "hardcore" fans being against it in general, and of course very very low advertisement for the game.

oh of course, I just brought that up due too the 4chan post where he complained at how easy the game was. Seeing as he mentioned fighting two bosses so it was something I mentioned to see IF they have more difficulty options. Like all the previous DMCs
Though speaking of DMC 4 the ice enemies in that one are piss easy compared to how they were in DMC 1. Jebus christ I forgot how hard they were to kill.

I'd personally like to see nunchucks like Cerberus. But seeing as how this Dante probably isn't refined enough in combat to use them effectively, I'd love to see him dual wield some swords like Agni & Rudra.
