actually i like Witcher 2 and as i said before i don't mind sexual contents but i believe that DmC and NT doesn't need to use it just for making the story mature , NT is better than this , i really enjoyed stories of HS and Enslaved the way they were

I feel he made a valid point to be honest. i liked the 'sextual deviant' bit. but as for the bit where he puts on his clothes in mid air. okay fair enough, but i am a bit supprised they would do something like that. after Enslaved and Heavenly Sword, i thought they were going for a more serious tone.

that being said, i still have faith the story will be serious, but i hope they dont take the DMC 'DNA' too far. i really dont want another camp Dante.

and i love the inuendo where Dante escapes from the church. from that he seems to be more intellent than previous incarations, which is a definite plus afte the unintelliegent story of DMC4.

I forget to mention the main reason i came into this thread was to say; theres no way in hell i'm reading that script. at the same time this thread wouldve disappeared if it was real imo.

i doubt that is the real story.

if it is however, then its still semi-irrelevant. lets say DmC sells 2 mil copies. how many of those 2 mil would have come online to read the story? maybe 10% of people who buy the game, theres not that many people on this site from what i can see, not in the region of hundreds of people i mean. and even that is a mere fraction of the millions of potential users out the.

the point i'm making is that even if the story leaks, most people wont even know about it, theres still probabily a lot of people who dont know about the game yet. and even if they do, most of the people are uninterested to read the story. to put it metaphorically, this isnt The Dark Knight Rises, its Batman Begins.

if the script of Batman Begins has leaked early who wouldve read it? i think it wouldve only been the commited DC enthusasits. now if The Dark Knight Rises leaks online, then it would probabily be on the evening news! (obviously not front page, but it would be mentioned).

the way i see it DmC hasnt acheived enough exposure to be able to warrant concern over this. that being said, i havent read the alleged scipt, but i doubt this is it.

If that guy broke contract, he probably got sued. When you playtest, the don't actually allow you to see cutscenes because story is not what playtesting is about. You playtest the gameplay and gameplay only. The PR person sets up the demo for the playtesters.

Actually, it depends entirely on the game and what they're testing for.

I tested Motorstorm Apocalypse at Sony in London (through an outsourced company called Saros Research who focus in all things testing) and that featured the storyline.

The same thing applies to the current game I'm testing at Sony.

I can't say what game it is as I've had to sign an NDA (it hasn't even been announced yet!), but they show story elements and the opening tutorials because they want to know how user friendly the title is....among other things.

The testing I'm currently doing is more for research purposes but the in house testing is where the bugs and glitches and more boring parts of the testing takes place.

It's fun, but not something I'd want to do as a main profession in life.

Anyway, my point to replying to this thread is that the 4chan user may well be telling the truth, as oddly enough, it sounds pretty plausible. Then to top everything off, Ninja Theory and Capcom are stuffed in positions like this (where by the topic creator asks for the truth about possibly leaked information), because if they delete the thread everyone will know it's true and if they answer, everybody will have an answer.

They want it all hushed up, so the best option they have is to simply say nothing, which is what makes topics like this pointless, aside from the fact it sparks off conversation, which in most cases is a good thing for a company.

That guy (4chan is it) couldve got the control scheme from the demo which was shown. and secondly i find it weird there are 2 dodge buttons. i'm pretty sure the demo only mentioned 1 dodge button.

and arnt the angel/demon modes mapped to the L1/R1 buttons, not L2/R2.

is this guy really credible... in the OP it seems that 4chan is not credible. why?

off topic i think i might be the only person who still thinks Vergil might not be in the game.

If you listen to Gametrailers DmC Demo Part 1 and hear the beginning of the video, the voice that's talking to Dante, you'll hear a resemblance a bit to Dante's VA. I'm not sure if Tim Phillips is also voicing Vergil since maybe that'll make Vergil Dante's twin again. But the 4Chan Guy did say that Vergil looked nothing like his Old DMC version (but then again he can be talking aesthetic-wise, like DmC Vergil not wielding a katana or wearing blue or such not necessarily not looking like Dante). I think it actually is Vergil since he mentioned that Mundus doesn't know about him and he's in hiding right now. He's also very serious when he talks to Dante...so far. I think the 4Chan Guy is legit. But we still can't put too much weight into it since nothing has been confirmed or denied. Its intriguing to say the least... E3 will start on June 5-7 so hopefully by then, or maybe before then, we'll get a bit more info.

it is interesting that i find Vergil's CV may be Sam Witwer (casted for Galen Marek in Force Unleashed I&II)
