    Default Positive Wave !

I decided to start this thread because NT is under incredible pressure since the Dmc reboot was announced
so people do you're best and show you're support in a comment!!

    I'll start

My first impression of the new dmc was very negative... but then I've played Heavenly Sword and Enslaved that clanged my opinion...
Now I know that Ninja Theory is the only one who could make a Dmc reboot because seriously.. the devil may cry series needed a reboot just take a look, 4 games and all these 4 games are different it's time to organize it don't you think ?

I want to know the origins of Dante and more..... and I guarantee you that this new Dmc it's going to be AWESOME
Ninja Theory, I'm with you !

    this is a great idea

i was one of the guys who hated the DmC from the beginning , but the more i saw DmC more i liked it and gamescom was the turning point for me , of course i was a little disappointed by TGS Demos but the newest fight trailer is great , and now i can not wait to see more of DmC ( Specially Something New About Story Would Be Great )

actually right now i'm happy that DmC is in NT's hands , NT is good at story telling , environments , mod and capcom is helping them in gameplay so i think DmC can be indeed one of greatest DMC's Of All Time

I like the reboot from the very beginning. I hope DmC live up to my high expectation.

I was never a fan of DMC even though I've played all 4 games, it failed to capture me as a fan. Each game played the same with very little creativity and Dante just became a totally different character in each. From a pretty cool guy in DMC1, a mute runway model with no personality in DMC2, a teenage jerk in DMC3, to an even bigger jerk in DMC4.

Once it was announced that Ninja Theory would be behind the next one and it was a reboot, I became DMC's #1 fan. After playing Enslaved, I knew NT will breath life into the character and the franchise.

Why would you continue to play a series you aren't a fan of? I know some actual DMC fans who stopped playing after DMC2 or DMC3, so you have some dedication there.

Anyway, I saw playthroughs of Enslaved and HS, so the thing I am most looking forward to is what NT can add to the plot and narrative aspect. It wasn't bad in some past DMC games, but Capcom failed to capitalize on a lot of the potential the series had. Hopefully, NT won't play it safe just because they are working on an established franchise.

Nope. I just like to play hack & slash games is all. I never even bought or owned a single DMC game in my life. DMC4 was the one that made me think meh about the franchise completely and the only game in the franchise I couldn't finish. It was just the same crap over and over again. I was like when will the game catch up with the times.

My first impression was positive but I'm a little more negative as I felt they made bad decisions early on that cost them fans.

But Capcom did squander the potential of the series and made it feel like it was going nowhere, so NT can only go up.

Just got back. Nice thread idea. I enjoyed playing all the DMCs but even I could see how things were getting a little tired at the end of the 4th one. I've never been interested in the franchise as I am with the development of this installment. Like with recent reboots ( Batman, 007, Star Trek looking at Spider-man), there is a great potential to reinterpret the series in this new decade. I like how NT and Capcom know that there are things that have to remain in this version, while having the backbone to try different things. Some fans who may feel personally slighted for some reason can be swayed to buy the game if it achieves what NT and Capcom are aiming for. Change can be exhilarating for a franchise- we've seen it before.

It's not easy to take big risks and try for the big win. But when it works, man. It can be gorgeous. I bet some laughed at the idea of the guy from brokeback mountain playing the Joker. Look what happened. Sometimes its hard to see how these big risky moves will work until it's fully realized.

I think NT and Capcom know what's important and I feel that they can make a more deeper, more visceral spin on the idea.

One hundred percent behind you guys.

What's the point of this thread when mostly the majority here support NT with just like 2 or 3 people who are against it.
